i disagree with these:

Dream Theater - James' vocals and Pertucci are HUGE parts of Dream Theater
COC- Pepper isn't even an original member, hard to say 'he is the band' when they released albums without him isn't it?
Pantera- Dime was great, but it was he and Vinnie that made it happen, also, Phil had a greater influence on their sound than most people recognize
Fear Factory- again, the drum production on Demanufacture really paved the way for the whole 'Andy Sneap' style production we hear all the time today, Ray Herrera is far and away the most talented member of this band. also, Burton's screaming vocals mixed with his clean vocals are a large part of this band.
