HI everyone,
I'm french and I live in England and I had the possibility to see them in London a few weeks ago. That was their first gig in this country and I can tell you that: They were GREAT.
There's just one thing that I hate about this night is that there was only three spotlight for the band.Isn't that ridiculous compared to the fireworks of Stratovarius? So I ask you "Lady Of The Oracle" (you seem to be quite often in touch with the band) to ask the band about their impressions of their European Tour and precisely that night.

Cheers,

Alf.

PS:Hae you seen the mugs"The Odyssey" guys.

Yeah, there has been alot of talk how SyX gets treated like shit in this tour. Like 45 minutes set-time! c'mon! give 'em about 50. That 5 mins makes a big dif''. They have had sabotaged sound quality and have even got the Strato curtain pulled over them while they were in the middle of a song.!!

but the + side is that they are playing in front of bigger crowds and arena's that that they would not be normally able to play in.

Has anyone been to any tours in the states of SymX? I would give almost anything to get to see them in concert one day, and am curious to know what their stateside gig's are like.

Yeah, they just did a tour with Blind Guardian in the US.

But Sorrey Silent Realm, there will be no SyX shows in Australia for a long time. Thats unless they open for a bigger, very popular band like DT, Opeth (they recently toured here), or even Yngwie (I doubt it) ect....

Oh I wasn't asking about Australia..I hear they may be touring stateside again later.. And I'm sure they will be doing more tours in the future ..So I would like to go see them there sometime.
But I am curious about crowd-size for their tours.

I saw them last December in San Francisco. Luckily (for me, anyway), that was when Blind Guardian's tour bus broke down on the way, so after some confusion, Symphony X ended up as the default headliners. I think they threw in an extra song or two (Yes!). The venue was average "club" size, and during their set there were probably 100-150 people there. The room was pretty much full, but like i said, the room wasn't large to begin with. I'm hoping that they can really get their name out during the current tour.

OH! Hwangman..u lucky lucky thing..yeah I'm going to San Francisco later this year if all goes well..But I would travel just about anywhere to see them. Within financial means that is. Sighs..

well, i saw them with BG and they sold out the venue. It fit about 1500 people. i also saw them on their own before they left for europe. they played the same venue but there was only like 200 people. . . it was rather weak.
