I got the perfect band for you. Godless Rising! The band consists of the original vocalist and also the original lead guitarist of vital remains.

basically brutal death metal with the prominently layered vocals and occasional melodies weaved within the guitar work. . . AND NO!! I don't mean Aeon, either. They really don't fit all that well for me.
