I like Kamelot, and Ark, and Conception is in all way superior to both bands. I missed the boat on them in the '90s, and only got into them after they broke up. Avoid the first disc - "The Last Sunset", which sounds like watery Yngwie - and go for any of the other three. Awesome stuff - prog metal that doesn't suck, isn't weedy, and has some crunch - and Kahn shows much more of his ability than in Kamelot, in a good way.
