I just a couple of days ago got an Old Wainds cassette that I ordered in August 2002! Fair play to Alex Kurtagic and co for persisting with my order for a year and a half. Even I'D forgotten about it!

Hmm, what else have I discovered recently. Mostly non-metal to be honest, the two most recent purchases were Bert Jansch's self-titled album (Folk Blues...I'm really starting to dig this 60's Revival Folk) and Alec Empire's "Intelligence and Sacrifice". Oh, and some guy at work gave me a CDR of some underground rhythm and blues bands that play at the biker trade fairs he's involved with - Travelling Riverside Blues Band, Rough Cut and Driving South.

I got the Alec Empire double album from the Metal section at MVC, but that just shows you how much they know about metal.

I discovered anata not too long ago too...thx to some peoples who mentionned how good they were on this board. :Spin:

I discovered Neuraxis a couple months ago. They are a great band from Quebec...and I'm from Quebec as well...Why I haven't heard anything by them before is still a mistery to me.

Glass Casket - they sound mostly like your average cross of grind and metalcore for the most part, then all of a sudden 'In Between Your Sheets' kicks in with a really cool, uplifting melody, and then segues into an almost power-metal-ballad-esque lead break, before hitting the 'turbo' button again.

Uncle Bob Drives A Combine - these guys are insane - sci-fi influenced farmgrind, apparently - songs about milking cows, but it's really brutal, Nasum-meets-Agoraphobic Nosebleed-like grindcore. Check 'em out on http://www.hxcmp3.com.
