Bart,

If you were not sporting Jacksons, what other brand would
you be playing? and why ?

Isn't it about time Jackson gave you an endorsement deal ? ;)

But they do ;) I just don't make a big deal about it.

If I were to use other guitars I would go on merit on a per instrument basis - meaning listen to the tone of the instrument and make sure the quality of craftsmanship is on par with a professional instruments.
There are some local luthiers that make excellent instruments as well.

PS I probably wouldn't play an Ibanez ;)

ah damn, I just checked the Jackson site, and you're right ...
after some scrolling I found your name on the artist roster :)
just wished there would be a little more info on your instruments ;)

yeah I guess going custom would be the ultimate option for anyone really.
once you've found THAT instrument you won't play anything else :)

just thought it would be interesting with some brand name-dropping :)
guess Ibanez isn't an option then ;) may i ask why ?

Not Ibanez because they are factory made with low tolerances so you can expect stability/intonation problems on even the most expensive ibanez guitars. Not to mention there is really no selection of wood for quality and tone etc...
I shouldn't really be bashing them, but I know people who had lots of problems with their Ibanez and were cursing the guitars constantly ;)
