BASS...i think i got it anywhere close to good now

BASS...my worst nightmare, never could get it right...never will i guess

well, this time it's not that bad but i think i'm getting closer
to an USABLE bass sound

-schecter stiletto custom 4
-new daddario pro steels strings
-recorded tight (best possible i could)
-edited
-melodyned (it's causing some slight timing issues, annoys the shit out of me)
-tweaked (multiple EQ, multiple compressors)

this is all i can get together so far.
now i need some fresh ears and a few more hints
how/where to improve this!

for a better judgement it's just drums and bass.
i am happy with the drums so far but i wish i could
make it sound a bit punchier and clearer...another
construction area i guess

you need to take care with the attack of the comps. Makes the pick attack come out nasty, in a bad way.
can't really say a lot more without the rest of the mix. but didnt sound shappy to me, apart from the comp thing

Hard to say without the rest of the mix but it sounds bitchin. This song sounds like it could be a manowar song with just bass and drums haha.

that's my main problem when compressing bass i'll check the attack settings again. it's also very present in the DI file i need to learn how tp play with my fingers
