Greetings, I recently purchased a Bass PODxt, and I'm looking for any advice on how to acquire a decent tone.
I'm completely new to recording and am basically just planning on recording bass rhythm+drums for demos. I'm looking for a precise but sufficiently heavy sounding distortion for this purpose. Not looking for perfection obviously, but all the experimenting I've done thus far has sounded too muddy and weak even with the bass cut completely out.
I've done a fair amount of googling/search functioning on a few boards, but I haven't come up with anything substantial. I'm also at a loss for how to use patches or update the unit's firmware (Line6 Monkey seems to have an outdated update server)
If anyone has owned or used a Bass PODxt, I'm open to any suggestions whatsoever. Thanks!
