Bass strings for D standard and Drop C?

Which string gauge is suitable for a D standard and drop C tuned bass guitar?

I've used DaDarrio 45-105 for it, not too bad on the strings but if you want it really tight you could try using the DaDarrio 50-110s... or even DR, i believe they go a little higher...

I've had a lot of luck with Ernie Ball Power Slinkys (purple pack). I think they are 110-55

For D standard I'd say 110 for your lowest string. Do you have only one bass guitar?

I'd say 55's too.

I'm getting a set of 50's for mine, but only because that's the bigger gauge I can find here... and my bass is 35", so maybe it'll let me pull it off.
