I have a feeling BG isn't going to do too well in this poll. However, I still maintain that they're a good band and are actually one of the few power/fantasy metal acts that aren't worth micturating upon.

I'll vote for them because I like them and haven't heard Summoning.

I voted for BG, simply because I like some of what they do and have never heard Summoning. Can anyone recommend anything by them?

Dol Guldur and Mortal Heroes are also excellent albums, and I think they capture the atmosphere of Tolkien's universe much better than BG, whom I still respect. I think I got tired of power metal after realizing that no album in that genre would ever top Imaginations.

This is REALLY good and I need a proper copy of this or something else by them. Is this one commonly considered their best?

Everyone has a fave Summoning album. Mine is Minas Morgul, followed by Stronghold.

Does anyone else love Lugburz like I do? I think it's a damn strong album... especially considering it came out in '95 (the tail-end of BM's heyday). Much different than their later stuff but nevertheless quite remarkable.

Let mortal heroes sing your fame is their best album. Listen to it and you ARE in middle-earth. I have high hopes for the next album which will be a concept album based on the Silmarillion.
