From those two...I'd go with the white album for sure...more songs and some of their best:

Dear Prudence, While my guitar gently weeps, Mother Nature's Son, Happiness is a warm gun, Martha (really like that one), Rocky Raccoon
and Blackbird is a fingerpicking classic on guitar...

I think any serious fan would go with the white...It just has something special you know...

My father had two criteria for those who were true Beatles fan:

1) When asked to name the Beatles you must say; "John, Paul, George, and Ringo," in that order.

2) Realize that The White Album is their best.

I guess according to my father I would not be tr00 because Sgt. Pepper's is by far and away my favorite.

The White Albumen of those two, it has many good songs but also an ASSLOAD of crap, the George songs are my favourites by miles.
Revolver is my favourite Beatles album and it was the first album I ever REALLY LOVED and listened to all the time in my youth when I raided my dad's record collection...

your out of your mind , the beatles were basically the first prog band. Yes they were popular with good reason. If you want overrated try Kiss.

Can't say i really like The Beatles. The most overrated band in earth's history IMO

Your sentence would make sense if you changed overrated with important.

There's two eras in music: before and after the Beatles.

Im sorry guys, I just don't like their music. I never siad that they weren't important, just that I think their music is regarded as being better than it actually was.

First prog band? They sound more like pop to me

as ive not heard the white album i have to say sgt peppers, that album rules. I also love there earlier albums aswell, Help! is a fucking classic.

The White Album is their best. I remember hearing it like 10 years ago and thought it sucked. Then I listened to an old tape I found like in 1995 or something and was blown away by the Beatles feel in almost every other band that came out after them. Great band. I need to get all their albums actually.

everybody says that the Beatles changed the tenor of music worldwide. i'm sorry, i just don't see that. first, they were the backstreet boys of the 1960's. then they found the world of psychotropic drugs and started taking themselves way too serious, making tripped-out beatnik music that was still musically simple and unimpressive

if they emerged out of today's music scene, you wouldn't give them a second thought. everyone just thinks they're great because they're history. it's a prime example of a band defined by their publicity.
