i've heard about this show and wan't to start watching it but i haven't seen any of the episodes where do i start off, or better yet is there a place i can watch it at?

Yeah watch the miniseries first, then season 1. do not watch out of sequence.

Really good show, but yeah, you just have to watch and let the story unfold. That's really part of what makes it so good.

Miniseries has to be first or you'll miss out on a lot of stuff refered to in the first season mostly.
