guys i reallly like beheading of a king so i wondered is that battle real or got from a myth

Apparently, this song is based on historical reality. It seems pretty obvious when reading the lyrics, but moreover, I remember reading an interview back when the album came out in which one of the band members (probably J. Hegg) explained that this song was based on a historical event.

Unfortunately, I'm no specialist in danish history and monarchy, so I couldn't say which king Erik of Denmark this song is about. You got me interested so I rapidly checked out the wikipedia pages on the different Erics kings of Denmark, but for what I've read none of them was beheaded. I might have missed the right one, so sorry, can't help you on that one.

thank you for helping i searched too and i found that erik is not the name of danish king he was leading gothic kingdom
