Hi Guys,

I am thinking of getting this compressor for my setup ( I got a deal real dirt cheap). Its a discontnued product but this is something that I can afford for the moment. I intend to use it to "tame" the signal before reaching my harddrive and I'm using M-audio DMP3 preamps.

Is this setup necessary as the preamp is also a limiter? Anyone thinks that this compressor is crap?

Please advise.

Thank you :ill:

hi wadi,

i had this compressor and didn't like it! i think it sounds like how much it costs! your idea to compress to tape isn't that good with the composer - when you really want to do it, you want the sound of some nice, warm and little compression, don't you? - i have never reached such result with the composer!

so my final tip - leave the behringer where it is!

p.s.:andy has one or two in his studio, i guess , but i don't think he uses them anymore, exspecially not for what you want them to work on

bye alex
