Actually I said that Master of Puppets wasn't exactly thrash. Their earlier stuff was. Some songs on MOP and ...AJFA were also thrash, but I wouldn't call them thrash albums. Maybe I'm wrong...:(
 
Testament is my favorite of the bands mentioned, but they came along rather late in the 80's so my vote would go to Metallica who really ruled the 80's thrash scene.
