Best cd of 2006 set in stone

I threw this disc on before. Got to about track three and turned it off. In and of itself, that doesn't mean a whole lot. I have a short attention span and my mood for what I want to be listening to changes every five minutes. Additionally, this disc sounds like the type of disc that will require multiple listens to appreciate.

I think that everything in 2006 will have to take a back seat to Edguy's Rocket Ride which is just killing me right now. It may be my favorite release ever from them.

Opinions aside, I don't think Rocket Ride should even be compared to anything Devin Townsend even remotely craps out.

BTW, it sounds like Devy paid a bit of a tribute to a traditional song, "Wild Mountain Thyme," during "Let It Roll." I'll play a cover of that song (by Glenn Frey :Spin: ) this weekend on Seismic and you can judge for yourself.

calling AE a disappointment is a bit harsh IMO, but if Synchestra is THAT much better, then Devin has truly outdone himself. personally i think AE is great

On the other hand, does the new Rhapsody album have Christopher Lee singing on it? Lee needs to start his own heavy metal project. He's one of the few 80+ year old guys who could pull it off.
