I was testing SD 2 vs the Metal Dream kit of slate 3.5 ... it has some tweaks... but it is almost factory

Slate kick, Superior Drummer everything else. Superior Drummer sounds nicer.
A real drum kit needs anywhere upward of 7 mics and inputs, a good sounding room, A good drum kit, The ability to tune a drum kit.Lot's of cash to buy or rent these things.
It's massively impractical if this guy is recording from a bedroom and really unfair to criticize someone for using them when that's what they are there for.
Though I agree a real drum kit sounds much nicer.

That's not the issue. The issue was that the name of the topic was misleading, was is not?
Back OT: Get whatever's cheaper, then sample replace it with something unique so you don't sound like everyone else. There are TONS of free samples out there worth looking at!

While I also agree, it seems pointless to comment "+1,+2" etc... Then completely ignore what he's asked. After all the F O H part of this forum is for helping each other.
