Best Evergrey Album?

I love all 3 named albums. Evergrey is so fucking intense and emotional, directly at the border to be pathetic. They don´t overstep it IMO! And the singer is one of the best Metal singers of all time! I´m very enthusiastic about this Band. I just listen to "Rulers of the mind". What a GREAT song! "Communion" okay. I will definitivley grab this book, dude!

+1

TBH i came into the conclution that this is the kind of music i like to play, this is my stuff, melodic and heavy as fuck, everything in place and well executed, awesome vocals and choruses.:headbang:

In Search of Truth, followed by Recreation Day. Recreation Day is sort of a more 'accessible', over-produced album. In Search of Truth is just some melodic death/prog masterpiece.

Yeah, I'll second that - also, I really can't stand the guitar tone on Recreation Day, so scooped and harsh IMO! (listen to the palm mutes in the break in "The Great Deceiver", you can't even hear pitch for chrissakes! :erk: ) But there are some great songs on the album, that I won't deny! ("As I lie here bleeding" and "Your Darkest Hour" are my two favs). TBH those are the only two albums of theirs I have, so maybe I'm not in the best position to recommend the best album by the band, but at least most people seem to feel I have the best two! :D I'll grab The Inner Circle soon...

I kinda like that hehe.

Your darkest hour is probably the most underated songs from them,

Do it, bro :) And tell me, what you think about it. I´m sure this will take a bit time to unfold..it´s a bit different, bold and I think the most emotional album of them. "Monday Morning Apocalypse" in comparison with this Masterpiece is like a soundtrack to "a sack of rise falling down in china" :)

Yeah dude, it's so good! (though I'm not a fan of the "MMMHHHMMM baby" soul-food chick vox, but oh well  ) And I'm listening to "Different Worlds" from ISoT now, and holy fuck does Tom emote in the chorus, such power in his vox. Can't really keep a straight face during the "oh please don't touch me" part, but I get what they were trying to do. This album rules! :headbang:

Absolutely :kickass: I think the same, bro! This is the direction I wanna steer for. But damn it..I don´t have this roughness like Tom in my godamn voice..aaargh, I think, I should drink more beer and begin smokin again

Haha i know dude, his voice is unique, i remember he say in the DVD that he didn´t knew how to sing, and his wife teach him so he could sing in the band.
