I've made the frames, got the fibreglass, I'm all ready to go ahead and hang these fuckers, but just cannot find suitable material to finish it off.

I want something like a muslin, I guess? Something that air can get through, but looks nice and keeps the foam/fibreglass in place. The only material/fabric specialist around here is a market stall that sells fabric on a roll, but it's mostly shit like silks and cottons for making clothes.

Anybody recommend me a SPECIFIC material so I don't just stand around in town every Monday blowing through yards of cloth like a nutcase?

Look at it. Are the spaces between the fibers small enough to keep little bits of fiberglass from coming through?

Put it over your mouth. Can you breath through it?

If you answered "Yes" to these questions, then you've found your fabric.

Speaker cloth from Maplin mate. (just google search, easy enough to find)

It's perfect. I used it on heaps of sound panels in my room and it looks class as well. Tightly woven, but sonically transparent.

Yeah this is exactly what I've been doing. That's what I meant by my comment "standing in town blowing through cloth like a nutcase" I've had such funny looks.

Alas, none of the stuff the dude sells is suitable. It might tick one of the two boxes, but haven't found a material yet that ticks both. Not locally, anyway.

I bought my fabric from there, its really nice quality!

Thanks man! Bit pricey but I'll check it out any way

Ah yeah, that'll do the trick! Cheers mate.
Thin, or thick? Thin, I guess?
