I'm on a big Kreator kick (obviously) and wanted to know how each of you rank the first five Kreator records

my list goes

1. Pleasure To Kill
2. Terrible Certainty
3. Extreme Aggression
4. Endless Pain
5. Coma Of Souls

Endless Pain
Pleasure to Kill
Terrible Certainty
Renewal

After those four they're basically all equal in terms of quality; forgettable mediocrity.

I don't know every Kreator album, but basing on the albums I have...

1. Pleasure To Kill
2. Extreme Aggression
3. Renewal
4. Violent Revolution/Enemy Of God

FLAG OF HATE!
Extreme Aggression
Pleasure to Kill
Terrible Certainty

[gap]

Enemy of God
Hordes of Chaos
Endless Pain
Violent Revolution

[large gap]

Coma of Souls

[HUGE gap]

the rest

no Coma Of Souls? I heard Renewal was crap.

It's not bad, but the German bands didn't do the more melodic approach as well as the American ones. It feels really bland and un-headbangable, even if there are some good stand-alone riffs. Renewal is a lot groovier, but it's the only Kreator album that actually shows some song-to-song variation. Actually, putting it in fourth was probably too low. It's very good stuff.

TC
HOC
EA
*raises eyebrow*
I dunno if I'd put HOC above EA, but I certainly wouldn't put TC above either.

Also, Kreator 90s stuff:
Renewal - decent-good songs recorded horribly - painful
Outcast - ok songs recorded horribly - awful
Endorama - cool hard rock recorded oddly - why does this say "Kreator?"

@Matt Parsons: get their latest then. And Pleasure To Kill obviously.
And Extreme Aggression while you're at it.

Does anyone else find Terrible Certainty good but superfluous? Like, they did the exact same thing but better on other albums and so there's no real reason to listen to it?

I like Kreator the least out of the three main German bands, but from what I remember I liked Extreme Aggression the most out of the first 5. I will give Kreator more listens again soon
