Speaking for my generation (people born in the late 80's), Blink was one of the bands we liked as kids. Angels and Airwaves, on the other hand, is not. I know plenty of people that like Blink but hate Angels and Airwaves. I don't exactly like Blink, but I don't hate them, either. Doesn't mean I don't think that Angels and Airwaves is one of the gayest bands in existence (speaking only of their music).

all pop punk bands suck

so just pick the least sucky one then.

I'd agree to an extent, but I do like the offspring and green day. That's it, really. The offspring are in a completly different league, they are more with the real punk bands then the pop punk bands. Green Day are very polished and catchy. They seem like the sort of band that could do much harder music, but who like doing what they do. Everyone else sucks.

I basically dislike/hate all of those bands mentioned, but I think I voted Avril Lavigne because she doesn't agitate me as much as the rest...though that Girlfriend song is probably the most overplayed song right now on radio.

I never hated Green Day until the success of their last album, especially the song When September Ends. Where I worked I had to listen to the radio, and that song would be played relentlessly...so of all the songs in the world, that one is the very last one I want to hear. September ended twice before they stopped playing this song :p

Go listen to The Lawrence Arms - Oh! Calcutta!

best poppunk album ever.

None of those bands are even Punk, but out of them I'd say I like Sum 41 the best for the solo on The Hell song

There's a Japanese Punk band called Stance Punks, I recommend listening to their song "No Boy No Cry" the guitar is pretty Punk and same with the vocals

Your one of the few wise people on this board whose posts are actually impartial and does not follow the "leader". Though I don't agree with all your posts I do with most like this one. The Offspring's Smash album imo is hardly "pop punk" and Inxay is hardly "old" Offspring... Anyways I voted for Offspring even though I like Greenday as well...
