Best Purchase/ Suprise Purchase

So for the most part, each of us bought a ton of CD's Tee's etc. I'm just curious to see what everyone's favorite purchase was. Or what you bought not knowing anything about the band, but ended up really liking it.

Mine was Tad Morose's Modus Vivendi I haven't taken it out of my CD player since I got home.

Also, I was very happy with my Adagio and Andromeda CD's.

Pyramaze - Meloncholy Beast, without a doubt. Nathan told me to get it so i did and i am not kicking myself for not having it earlier.
This is my surprise favorite, as well. All I knew about the band before PP was that it was Lance King's new project. Almost everyone I saw this year asked if I had it, and what I thought. Since I hadn't heard any of it, and it was getting good reviews by so many people, I bought it blind, and have enjoyed it ever since. :)

Star One - Live on Earth DVD. The best sounding live DVD I have ever heard. The songs sound a whole lot better than the Ayreon and Space Metal CDs too. Not that they sound bad - just live the tracks really come to life.

Dammit, i wanted to get that but i didn't have the money. I was gonna get monsters of metal 2 dvd but they didn't have it friday night so i bought the green carnation dvd instead and then to my dismay they got it in on saturday, so i couldn't get it. But i will soon enough.

Theocracy - s/t. Mi amigo Ben has been telling me to get this for some time, but I dont like his choices sometimes. Anyway, I grabbed it and I really really like it alot. I got a bunch of other stuff but this was the sleeper that I knew nothing about. Check it out.

I have been meaning to buy Accept's "Metal Blast From the Past" DVD forever and just sort of forgot about it and when I saw it at one of the vendor tables I snatched it up.
It has all of the "Staying a Life" live video from Osaka 1985, all of their videos, some live clips from Bulgaria in 93, videsoshots of interviews, soundchecks, etc. bio, disco, and nine previously unreleased audio tracks etc. I should have bought this a couple of years ago.

Definitely the new PoS. The more I listen to it, the more it's becoming my favorite PoS cd.

I also like the Riverside one.

Of all the CD's that I bought...some haven't even left the wrapper yet b/c my favorite purchase was 'In the Eye of Time' by VOX TEMPUS. Great melodic power metal...

This CD is most definitely not power metal. :err:

Yes. :)

I've seen countless power metal bands who have a few odd time rhythms and keyboards considered proggy but I don't think I've ever seen a band who is obviously progressive labeled melodic power metal. :ill:
