Best riffs ever

Yeah, you're right.

Diary and Creator Failure have awesome riffs, and Dante's Inferno. My god. :notworthy

Fuck Burnt Offerings is such an awesome album.

Stormrider is another song with awesome riffs, and Stygain, and The Funeral, and Slave To The Dark. Fuck Iced Earth are awesome. :kickass:
:rock::rock::rock::rock::rock:

Angels Holocaust too :notworthy How awesome is the AIA version? :rock:

Gotta remember that all of Schaffer's seem to be written for (and probably recorded by) one guitarist. I hate that. :(

Yeah, Jon does every guitar part except the solos on the IE albums, basically the same as Hetfield/Hammet used to record their stuff.

His riffs are nowhere near as inventive these days and there are a lot less of them, plus he crams them into the same song structure now. TGB had way too much repetition for my tastes...

That one badass motherfucka of a riff that is in the trilogy on SWTWC :rock:

I think its the first song of the trilogy that starts quiet and then the guitar riff busts a move on yo ass..... then the drums and bass kick in :notworthy

I think you mean the third song Sprucey, the one that starts with the piano, and yep, that riff is awesome :notworthy :notworthy

No, I mean the massive riff in PROPHECY. I love that riff. The part that comes after the words:

Oppressed for centuries, await the prophecy
The child will set us free, reclaim it rightfully

I think they are the lyrics?

Its on Burnt Offerings, so you have probably had trouble finding it if you are looking for Dantes Inferno Southy :)

I know what I ment..I have had a (fair) few beers :p

But I have seen the remastered version getting round, there is always other stuff I wanna get first. I really really wanna get it, I just always have something else to et, I shall move it to the top of next weeks list :kickass:
