Invey ROCK. Fantastic guitar sound, singer with more stage presence that any other 'amateur' band i've seen and all-round good peeps. No I'm not a band member, not do I know them - I just know good rock music when I hear it.

Seems there's an Invey band wagon rolling and I thought I'd throw my hat into the ring. All the bands I saw had their moments but -what can I say- Invey just does it for me. P'raps its coz I've seen them a couple of times but the new line up just blows me away.

What can i say, i'm a converted fan.... invey kicked arse when i saw them... and are highly professional in the way ive seen them go about things, they're destined 2 go far!
I saw Invey for the first time at Bloodstock and I must say they did blow me away. Huge sound, great stage persona and genuine emotion in their songs (makes a change from "The Majesty of Rock" type lyrics), not to metion a well fit singer. Couldn't realy ask for more in a band. I will be catching them and Illuminatus on the second BS on the road tour (once the dates have been posted somewhere grrr!).
Strangely enough, Invey have gone from no votes to the most votes Oh, and just to even it up with everyone else, there's at least one vote from a member of the band in there!!
I thought Invey were rather good. Especially the young man on the guitar Ed I think his name is.

Hmmm.... I think you guys must have been at a different second stage to me, 'coz at the one I was at, Cruel Humanity were clearly the best band, and Invey were middle of the pack at best. Just MHO, of course

BOLLOCKS, I meant to vote for Invey but I clicked Illuminatus by accent - oh well, they were good too - but my vote was meant for elsewhere!!! Grrr, Damn this infernal quick-reacting University connection!!!
I thought Invey were by far the best live act on the second stage, with Fulc and Cruel Humaity coming a joint second - they were both amazing in their own way [because they're obviously very different bands], and both performed perfect sets - I felt sorry for Fulc because they were truely brilliant yet it was a very empty hall, they could generate such a bigger crowed under normal circumstances. I bought both Cruel Humanity's mini-album [which I noticed is a copy - mmmmph] and Fulc's CD, which isn't a copy [
] and made sure I got Invey's E.P.
Anyway, someone change my vote...

My personal favourite on stage 2 were Invey although there were some excellent bands on in the Darwin Suite so much so that I spent more time at stage 2 than I did in the main hall on Saturday.
I was so impressed with Invey that I went to see them at the benefit gig they did in Leicester and as at Bloodstock they ROCKED!!!
Looking forward to their new album coming out in November.

Hi Mac - you are spot on in every area except one.
You'll have to wait a while longer for an Invey album. They do, however, have a proper demo coming out in November which will replace the very crudely recorded MP3s that are currently available on their website. The demo will consist of two or three tracks, properly recorded, which will no doubt blow everyone away.
But, it should be noted, this amazing band is actually UNSIGNED. Crazy...

Interesting to read this thread and compare it to what Powerplays reviewers thought to the bands on the second stage
At the end of the day - music is not the competititon everyone has their favourites - it seems its the struggle for exposure to a wider audience and of course enough money to surivive on playing music without haveing to hold down a day job as well, that creates the competition I feel.
