Best Slayer album?

Might not get anyone to agree with me here, but I would have to say...

Divine Intervention

...is my favorite. Gives me the chills like no other Slayer album. I got in to Slayer in... 1992 I think, Seasons in the Abyss was my introduction, and Dead Skin Mask is still my favorite Slayer song of all time. Immediately behind Divine Intervention I would place Reign in Blood, South of Heaven, and Seasons in the Abyss. Never liked Diabolus in Musica, except Desire and Point.

God Hates Us All is cool because they are still FUCKING METAL!!! Maybe not the speed metal of years past, but the comment about new Metallica is right. At least some groups grow old gracefully. :)

is everybody an idiot? diabolus in musica is the clear choice for best slayer album!! ha wtf am i saying, yes reign in blood is without a doubt the best, even though 80's metallica rules the universe,

Yuck. I like 80s Metallica, but Diabolus in Musica sucked compared to anything else Slayer did. Perhaps that is why you like it though, it is the really different one. It is not horrible though, it is just Slayer's weakest offering.

so very true...dude!!!!!!!
thats why i placed GHUA at the bottom my dear!!
the order is actually my preferance............and i hate GHUA!!

Why does everybody hate God Hates Us All? It's not prime material or anything, but the direction taken for Diabolus in Musica was thankfully averted for GHUA. Granted, it is not the speed metal of days past, but it's still a brutal album. I don't think Slayer compromised anything for it, they gave the proverbial middle finger as usual.

However, I never paid as much attention to it as I have to other Slayer releases. All this talk about it's lackluster quality will make me revisit the album very soon to see if I am just delusional... :)
