Best solo artists

Hey guys,

Who do you think the current best guitar solo artists are at the moment?

I really think Guthrie Govan is on top of the world as far as electric guitar fusion is concerned. There are of course others like Gilbert, Vai, and Howe.

Any suggestions? Any and all jazz/fusion, metal, progressive, and acoustic related artists are welcome!

I'd say the best electric guitarists in the world playing rock/jazz/prog/metal right now are Ron Jarzombek, Allan Holdsworth, and Robert Fripp.

Wolfgang Zenk and Christophe Godin are my favorites....

I'm not much of a Holdsworth guy, but I agree Fripp is absolutely insane. Gonna have to look into Tension's suggestions. Have never heard of them!
