Aloha-

I'm just getting into Hypocrisy, own a couple albums (Hypocrisy and The Arrival) and wanted some reccomendations for Tagtren's craziest guitarwork in the band.

Damn hard to tell... there are so many!
But I find the Solo in Reversed Reflections on the self-titeled quite outstanding. It perfectly fits into the atmosphere of the song and gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it.

Ohh man, this is a great subject-thanks for posting this!!
Well, i have my personal fav tagtgren solos. I tend to like his more melodic solos, like on these tracks:

A coming Race-very tasteful and well done IMO
Paled Empty sphere(Tagtgren doing his best David Gilmore impression)
Carved up(such a brutal song, but the solo so so melodic and tasteful)

Its to early to really think about this LOL
cheers
Eric

Well, not really a solo for ya, but the intro of 'Penetralia' (re-recorded version on 10 years of chaos and confusion) is awesome, almost addicting-like.

Well along these lines, the Into to "elastic inverted visions " could possibly be the most haunting and amazing intro guitar line i have EVER herd!!!! I play that over an over!

I'm not sure if I want to hear anyone doing a David Gilmore impression, but if you say so.
well, i ment with the emotion behind the solo with the bending and vibrato. Sound very David Gilmore influenced IMO

cheers

although its very short, i like the one on warpath most. its just great, with the scream afterwards its perfect!

That solo isn´t from Peter Tägtgren though, it´s from Andreas Holma, and yes it´s really great. My favorites are request denied, adjusting the sun and reversed reflections.

for me paled empty sphere and just think again .. and departure solo ..

the 'just think again' solo is Alexi Laihos solo

my favourite solos are the ones from eraser, a thousand lies and imo peters best solo is the one from Request Denied, it starts with the keyboard and acoustic guitar simultaneously and later with the electric guitar solo, just amazing :)
