Hey peeps.

I need a mic or mics to cover his style/range for vocals.

I already have a SM57, SM58 and a Nady scm1000

The vox on an album I am recording goes from shouts, to mellow/low/powerfull clean. With one or two spaz out scream moments.

SM7B, have a look at Mr Vedder using it.

Thanks.

Any tips for mounting it from the ceiling for cheap (in a vocal booth)

IIRC Mike Patton uses SM58.

he uses many different microphones, but atleast live he often uses the older model beta 57.

Long shot, but does anyone know what he used for the mellow vox in King for a Day?

I'm more interested in what he used in the studio. Pics are hilarious. And he is sober...
