Better than the last stuff I posted.

yeah I'd say the vocals are too loud too. And they sound like they are ontop of the mix not in it, if you know what i'm saying. The music is somewhat muffled compared to them and they don't blend in.

hmm now I hear it again, I think the main reason why the vox are "ontop" is cuz you need the drums to come more to the front. Add highs. To me they sound pretty muffled and not rightly positioned in the sound picture EQ wise.

Maybe give the guitars a wee bit too or take the vox a tad more down.

Personally I'd make the guitars a little louder, or bring the drums down a bit. Both the kick and snare sound quite muffled, try cutting some mids as paladin_shredder suggested, and/or maybe use GClip on the snare to get it punchier. I dont think the vocals stand out too much. I think the kick might have a little too much low-end, but its overall too loud. I can't hear any bass, but these speakers are very undetailed (is that a word? ;p).

I'm listening on pretty terrible speakers, but I listen through them a lot so I'm quite used to them. Some of my comments may be quite off though.

On these headphones the mix sounds pretty bass heavy and muffled but the vox definitely sound better to my ears where they sit compared to before. The kick is a bit loud, as others have mentioned and the snare needs a bit-o-crispy... Actually the more I listen the guitars definitely need some crispy. High, sizzling, crispy and probably some high-mid as well but I'm not entirely sure what your vision for this mix is so I cant really say much. I like that sub blast :kickass:

Your having some problems that i have with mixes as well. The kick is fighting for space in the mix. Its stepping on things and makes it hard to listen to the rest of the mix. This version definitely sounds better though. Now if you get that low end and kick sorted out your mix will definitely improve quite a bit i think.

Kay, I think I go to bring down the acoustic kick. MY guess is the D112 is what where the boxy hotness is coming from.

The high end every speaks of isn't an issue in the wav file, I hear it as well when I listen to it on soundclick (for some reason lossier than usual even for 128k) even the hi res but I promise this mix is crispier than it appears to be on soundclick. I will bring the bass up a pinch and drop the D112 down a bit.
