Beyond Priest and Maiden

Maiden are alot better than Priest. True, Priest influenced Maiden somewhat, but Iron Maiden just lifted the quality meter in Metal to a whole new level. Priest had a few good songs in the 70s and 80s while Maiden only had 1 or 2 bad songs thoughout the 80s. ANd the last two maiden albums are almost as good as thier 80s output.

I agree with you as far as vocal power goes, but I just can't stomach Slaughter. Mark's voice is a little too much for me. By the way, welcome back Bryant.
Thank you very much for my warm welcome. Mark, just like Tom can hit EVERYTHING he does on CD live. His voice is a little shrill for my tatses as well and I prefer Cinderella over Slaughter/MS-VVI any day on recordings, but when you hear him hit that shit live, it is incredible. Sebastian Bach is also like that. He is one serious vocalist.

I saw Dio with Accept opening up.... stop drooling Bryant... :) Or did you see that tour also?

I would have died to see that. I have never seen Accept live. : ( I have seen Dio four times though. That would have to have been an awesome show.

I always saw Cinderella as more of a straight rock n roll band.... and a frickin' great one at that! They got lumped in there with the hair bands because..... well because they LOOKED like a hair band, but they were more rockin' then glam. Man, do you remember the bass players hair?!!!!! He may get my vote for coolest hair metal doo of all time

I think Cinderella has actually gotten a much better rap in the general metal community in the last several years. While I don't hate Poison or Warrant, Cinderella was once lumped into the hair style like those bands yet they sound more like say....... The Black Crows than those two. I have noticed some people, aside from this little section have acknowledged them as a fine blues-rock band with a heavy edge.
