Oh man... this just made my early morning. If they ditch those shitass PODs and DFHS, go back and expand on the ideas established on DEI and Fredrik's Sol Niger Within.. then Christ... we'll have a band that return to form, taking the modern metal world by storm.

The thing is that moves like this hardly ever get executed well. Regardless, fingers crossed.

Fucking goddamn tube amps. Those guys have gotten better tones on their POD albums than all but a hand's count of people with the best of tube amps, microphones, and processing chains, and here we are surrounded by 'Oh my, that is a lovely tone indeed, but I think it needs more FUCKING LIGHT BULBS in there somewhere'. Give me a fucking break.

If they hadn't mentioned that they used DFHS on their albums then no one would have been able to tell the difference. Best drum programming and production of programmed drums ever, period.

Agreed, and the "tube amps vs solid state" debate reminds me when pantera started to get big, everyone wanted darrell to plug into a marshall, same with white zombie, prong and blah blah
A guy that sounds like shit will sound like shit with a krank and with a gorilla combo.
However, these guys sound great, no matter where they plug the guitar into

Agreed, but even past that if you're just going for a 'proper' amp-cab-mic setup, I have a little trouble believing that eight fucking strings will play very nicely into the standard run of amplifiers.
