Hey guys!

Seen this??

From Blabbermouth http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=161039

When asked about whether MESHUGGAH has been working on new music and if he has any new gear he is using, Fredrik said, "Yes, we are working on a new album and have been for a long time. I'm so excited about this one. We've always tried to change how we write songs to keep it exciting, but on recent albums we've also been moving further away from working together as a band. On this album, though, everyone is working together. Every day that we're in the studio, we'll play whatever song we're working on, record a demo version of it to analyze at home, and then come back the next day, talk about it and try to make it better. I think because of this, it's going to be our best album yet.

"We don't have a title yet, but when it comes to new gear, this one is going to be special, to say the least. I'm working with DAR Amplification to make this ridiculously powerful guitar amp. It's got 100 watts of true Class A power. The tubes are from Russian MiG 25 fighter planes; they're designed to survive a nuclear blast and keep the plane flying. It will be the world's most advanced modern tube amp. But most importantly, it's designed from beginning to end for the ultimate metal tone, and it sounds awesome. Can't wait for you to experience it!"

Sounds like the album's gonna cause a shift in the Earth's axis!

Can't wait to hear the new Meshuggah tone off of this new amp!

I want a studio footage making-of DVD with this one...I hope they're filming the writing sessions too!

And the album to be mixed in 5.1 as a bonus!

I still feel like they'd take their digital gear on tour rather than the tube rigs, it's been their thing for years and lots of bands use tube amps in-studio but digital rigs on the road (Symphony X...Romeo still does that right?)

Lots of exciting stuff happening this year!

Thank fuck.
While I do like some amp sim tones, can't say I ever enjoyed any of the amp sim tones Meshuggah ever had on any of their records.

They'll probably be the same specs with a small difference in the tonestacks. I went with Jockes, that guy I can fully rely on getting the best guitar sound.

Awesome man! The amps look like they were manufactured at Sky Net HQ by T800s haha...seriously look like they can survive (and catalyze) a nuclear blast!

That sounds so freakin' good! I want one!

Damn I can't wait to blast the new Meshuggah material with them tubes pumpin' the shiznits out of those chugga phrases!
