Three and a half years of German, and I can understand what the title says, but I'm having trouble navigating the site...

Smartass. :p Really, there are some similarities in structure and vocabulary - I can occasionally pick out what's being said. I'm a geek, what can I say?

As for my avatar, if *that's* what you want it for, all I can say is, it must not take much. ;)

Yeah I know the german teacher actually told us that on the first day in school, but surprisingly I've forgotten it,until now that is.
Besides, during the 5 years that I studied german,I barely learned any of THAT language, not to mention swedish (though we already study that besides german, seeing as Finland is a two-language country).

And good joke, really, but my pants stay stainless.

I have a talent for languages, but living in the US, I have very little opportunity to make use of it except on the rare occasion that I go to Europe. So I try to challenge myself and learn a few words/phrases in other languages. With a background in German, some languages (like Swedish and Dutch) are easier than others. Finnish is brutal, though!

Thanks for the instructions, Beridox. *browses pics*

One of these years I'm going to make it over to Scandinavia for one of the big multi-day festivals, like Nummirock or Sweden Rock...

Actually,if you happen to come to Finland, please don't go to Nummirock. That would be such a waste of time. Tuska Open Air is the festival that you need to attend to,seeing as it's the only metal oriented festival.
Our language isn't brutal...at least for me. :p

I only know this in Finnish: mä aion purra sun jalkaas :D
