Black Metal and Hipsters

This is one of the big reasons I started the Northern Elite. Yes, it can be thought of as a dick head thing, but that is sort of the point. I actually LIKE hipsters on their own, they seem to enjoy themselves and love their little get togethers and dance parties and yadayada but as soon as that starts to seep into Heavy Metal, we will not stand for it. Metal is dangerous, not a haven for art-fag assholes to 'express themselves'.

ridiculous

but not "hipster", even i can see this shit is chronically unhip

however, i fully support that snare sound

code always pushed the limits of each genre ... it's nothing new really.
they've been doing it from day one and have always respected them for that ... nothing really "stuck" though for quite a long time for them.

Granted but they used to have bands that were both challenging AND great.

Now they have a lot of shit to so-so bands and none of them is breaking any ground anymore, owing to the fact that the music environment has moved onwards and it is not so "easy" to be avant-garde anymore (thanks partly to Code666) .

yeah, I think the last thing they broke was Negura ...

this being different for the sake of being different gets old fast it the delivery is soulless.

From the grim to the grime, kickin it blackened in da hood!

I came up with that, btw. Quoting myself FTW!!!!

This band that Lurch posted, aside from the fact that I would let Lucy bring crackers to to bed if were single and hammered (and ONLY if hammered), they are pedestrian at best...at least based on what I listened to. Despite the Code666 jumping of the shark, I am surprised they would pick this up. Holy boring., Batman.
