EDIT!!!!!!!: Requested clip with more low end.http://www.mp3lizard.com/download.cfm?id=26731
Some random riffage and some slightly humerous/embarassing fail added right at the very end for your enjoyment
Put the GT-OD in front, kept the volume unison brought the gain up to about 8-9 o clock and had the tone set about 1-2 o clock.
Now considering I had the gayne almost full tilt on my amp and was adding more from the GT-OD the EMG sounds clear and punchy I think you really need to gain these pickups out for them to really "come to life" if ya know whaddimean? You can hear the almost metallic toane of them in the palm m00tz and p0wer chords.
Sounds quite "KSE" to my ears.
I've heard people dismissing the Blackstar as a loose blues amp or something similar and I'd have to say that they're dead wrong. The ISF control allows you to get your mids pretty much where you want them for a nice metal voicing, and there's enough gain on tap, but it takes pedals VERY well both out front and in the loop.
Anyway, hope this clip opens some eyes.
(apologies for the somewhat sloppy playing
