I think he's a great drummer . I actually think that BG is a great band . They're the only power metal band I frequently listen to .

Everyone seems to speak highly of this guy. I've seen him live twice, and while I think he is good I don't really consider him anything out of the extraordinary. But he's doing his job perfectly. That's for sure.

Stauch is a good drummer, but his talent is usually covered by bad mixing. They never seem to get great sounds on anything. That's no wonder since they lay 50 channels of choir in some of the songs.

maybe he is not as fast as other death metal guys but I don't think drumming is about speed
john coltraine wasn't the fastest guy ever yet he is one of the best jazz drummers that ever roamed the earth
I think Stauch is quite good and I like his style

I think both Coltrane and Stauch are fast, perhaps even faster than your above average death metal drummers but the point is that ultra fast drumming doesn't really fit into their style of music.

He is quite great and shows skill in understanding when to tone his drumming down and when to show his technical skills.

And I wonder how people can get into one of the shittiest "power" metal band (Sonata Arctica) but not into other power metal at all. That's just outright weird.

Nightfall in Middle-earth is one of my favourite albums really creative and nice speed metal... lots of nice solos and hard parts, and just plain brilliant!
