Blood Fire Death

It's called companies not knowing what "remastering" means (e.g. it's NOT making everything sound louder).

I listened to the CD again last night and it's mostly the last three tracks (not including the outro) that are the most buzzy. (For All Those Who Died sounding the worst)

I've missed so many of those old vinyls on eBay...

what do you think, Crimson Velvet, what is the fake:real ratio on there anyway? i know people bootleg a lot of Bathory LPs

Yeah I actually just got it on Friday and it's brand new so it's not like I've had it for a while and it's just now starting to fuck up. It's mostly the last three tracks but I've also noticed A Fine Day To Die having some staticy parts in it. The songs Blood Fire Death and For All Those Who Died are probably the worst. The intro to Blood Fire Death is fine but once the symbals and distorted guitars come in it gets all buzzy. Does anybody know if www.amazon.com accepts returns?

Ugg, that is too hard for me to say to say, as I never deal with all these private people who tend to try and distribute these fakes... I would never buy a "real" vinyl from a supplier I didn't know had been in the business for a while and had a good reputation, though... Fortunately, I had the fortune of buying this when it was first released, so I don't have to worry about its authenticity. Still have the shirt order pamphlet that came with it! :p If you're interested, I can link you a record store from here in Oslo who I KNOW is dependable. I have only dealt with him in person, so I can't vouch for his out-shipping capabilities, though.

get with the times. CD's are SUPPOSE to sound better anyways. Sounds like you have a cd problem. Do you remember it being staticy when you first heard it?

Ehhr, I'm not sure how to respond to this... Have you ever actually listened to a vinyl on a good turntable with good speakers. I can assure you, the sound is unmistakably better on! 'Getting with the times', as you so promptly called it, has little to do with this...

And no, it was not 'staticy'.

If the CD is faulty, or not as it is described, then they must. But good luck trying to convince them of that. I've been there many times before.:)

that sucks i love that song

maybe it was scratched before it was put in the case?

or you can try cleaning it

There really isn't anything physically wrong with the CD. It doesn't seem like the CD is broken in a technical way it almost seems like the recording for the CD (mainly the last three songs) got fucked up somehow if that's possible.

My "In The Nightside Eclipse" starts skipping on "The burning shadows of silence"

It has zero scratches and has been relayered or whatever they bloody do to clean them and still is shit.

Actually I believe this is debate able either way... I wrote a sort of research paper on it as a Sophomore, all the research I found was either or and both had good points.
