Bloodbath gear

If it buzzes even with gain at 0, it is not working properly. The pedal is made of regular analog electronics components, so you can fix it easily, provided you find which part is broken. Or you could just take it to a tech.

Edit:
If it's a chainsaw buzz, not normal gain buzz.

getting a total clean sound from hm-2 is impossible. even on 0 gain it has gain. try cranking the lo and hi, level at 1 o clock, gain at 12 o'clock. Rip that shit through a jcm800(pre amp gain dimed, lo input) and fucking DIE. Sounds pretty lethal through a 5150 too. That's what Dismember is using since.... who the fuck knows?

If you're using hm-2 on some recording(and you're quad tracking), blend that sound with a more ordinary, say, tube screamer boosted 5150/JCM800/Recto. It will bring the br00talz hehe. Check this shit out(5150+hm-2 and 5150+Ts-7 quad tracked) www.myspace.com/avgrund .

precisely. lo and hi color mix knobs always maxed out otherwise there's no real chainsaw.

Keessi, those AVGRUND dudes are cool, I dig their gtr sound. can you elaborate a bit on their quad tracking and amps blending? very interested me.

A.

+ 1.000!

edit: alright Keessi man, you're the drummer I see, and the details are already here:

thumbz up and I'll buy yer CD! ;-)

If you want clean tone just hit the switch on the HM-2 so it's off

Otherwise dime all those knobs on that fucker, and raise the pre-amp gain on your amp's clean channel until you get the right amount of "grind"

Keesi, sounds brutal!

The mystery of the Bloodbath guitar tone will stay just as that...a mystery....

I think you should elaborate with your own tone to come up with something cool, thats the only way to find the sick sounds. Hopefully you will find some good guitar sounds that will break boundaries.

Good Luck guys!

Man.. I have to try this. I have an old HM2 that I picked up for NZD$60 a few years back (around about USD $35 or so) in decent condition but was never a fan of it then. Ill try it through my JCM2000 and see how it sounds.

My twopenneth

The Fathomless Mastery is by far my fave album of the past 12 months... Not just the guitar tone (which makes the hairs on my neck stand on end!!!) but by god the drums \m/><\m/

Music has been pretty much run of the mill for me lately with lots of same old same old bands, songs and sounds being released every 2 hours but for the first time in ages I get fired up and want to quit my job and play guitar all day :-)

Right I'm off to hunt down an HM2 from ebay....
