Behind the mist.
Tony Trischka, I cannot fucking get enough. He played with Noam Pikelny (as the Double Banjo Bluegrass Spectacular) and it was honestly in my top 5 show experiences ever. I'll upload some of the DBBS songs tomorrow, but does anyone else have something to say?

oh yes...

Oh yeah Noam Pikelny in the Double Banjo Bluegrass Spectacular, THATS where I remember him from....:hypno: mp3s max, mp3s.

tony trischka is awesome, I have a split album between him and bela fleck doing solo banjo tunes, a MUST LISTEN album for anyone interested in banjo.

And lately I have been listening to a lot of Chris Thile's instrumental newgrass albums, since I have taken up practicing my mandolin as my full time hobby, hah! Bela guests on banjo on a lot of his tunes, along with Jerry Douglas (dobro superstar) and others of that ilk.

So what's some bluegrass with great vocals and lyrics? I was enjoying the hell out of Crooked Still but then the lyrics got mighty Christian on me and I can't help but feel like I'm being preached to while I listen. I hate to say it but that's always too distracting for me to really enjoy it.

Old Crow Medicine Show (really traditional vocals though, but awesome lyrics about drinking whiskey and doing cocaine and stuff), or the Double Bluegrass Banjo Spectacular.
