Okay, I'll give an example. Try the third song "Origin" at 3:36, it sounds Opeth all the way. And there are more riffs like this on "Epic".

There are more bands around the globe than just Opeth and Borknagar. Perhaps you should listen to more bands in order to find out it IS more or less the same style of riffing...

why compare borknagar to another band? why compare opeth to another band? try to listen the music without comparing bands, it will be a much better experience, trust me

Everyone should check out Karsh Kale....an opeth lover with an open mind (techno *hides*) might really appreciate this music....it really is fucking amazing.
