World Champions - 2004

:kickass: :worship: :headbang:

The yanks were all: oh yeah we got this down,we whooped the red sox
and them BAM!
Red sox are now champions

Yep, I watched every Boston game, start to finish in the postseason. Nothing like sitting at a bar with a bunch of people from NY rubbing it in their faces as Boston came back again and again. It got pretty heated between me and one guy. That series against NY is my pick for the second greatest series ever, behind only my hometown Diamondbacks taking out the Yankees in 7 games for the World Series in 2001 in the bottom of the 9th against the "legendary" Mariano Rivera.

Not to take anything away from other countries who play, but with baseball, there's no competition. Just as our football team doesn't even compare to Brazil, etc...

Sometimes some mexican teams play very well against american teams.
After all,Mexico got U.S. out of the olympics
hehe

Yeah I agree with you;I think the MLB has the best level overall,as well as NBA and NFL.
If you think about it,north americans are the best at the sports they created.
Soccer is way more competitive league-wise all around the world than many sports, same with waterpolo.

Except,in this case,soccer.
Everyone got good at it
but it's because all you need is another person and a ball. With most sports you need more people and a place to play

It strange how Baseball & American Football have never really caught on in other countries because they are both good games. Baseball is popular in Japan but I can't think of anywhere else. I think calling it American football was a mistake because football is soccer, it would be like us calling soccer English football or rugby being called English rugby. If that had happened then no other country would want to play them either.

I am really glad that the Sox won the World Series, after everything that us Sox fans have been through, from Bill Buckner blowing the World Series in 1986 to the Yankees coming back from a three run deficit to beat the Sox in the ALCS last year.
