Therefore, in advance of issuing the official RIF notices, I plan to send an email to each affected employee at approximately 2:00 today. Approximately 47 employees will receive one of three notices.

potentially I am but I think I'm safe, because I'm a 335 series which is a computer assistant, and nobody else here is classified as that. but I still can't help but feel nervous because the RIF procedure involves length of service, vet preference and a few other factors, its really complicated. The only saving grace is that if we are targeted for separation, we as feds have a really good job placement program.

It'll still blow though, because some good people are going to lose their jobs.

And that Kim Edens, she's the Employee Assistance person, in case anyone freaks out or something.

rationally I know things will be cool, because when I lost my DoD job in Illinois they found me a job here in Columbus, although it was for the Def Finance & Accounting Service, which was like being in the penitentiary with an ass friendly guy named Bubba...but I don't want to move again.

but still, but still....20 some minutes.....

wow they are doing that here but not even giving warning. they just force people out of their job and make it look like the person quit.

from my experience, it's better to have ugly co-workers than good looking ones that ignore you.

I don't really care, it's just that I get along better with people that are as or more ugly than I am.

but they can't ignore ME, because when they lock themselves out of their accounts or stick floppys in zip drives or can't figure out why their computer won't come on when the power strip is off....with only a modicum of knowledge, I and only I can save their ugly ignorant asses!

I am the computer help desk and at one time or another, all must prostrate themselves before me! Buwahahahahahahaha

btw it looks like my job is safe.
