Boy I Hate Those People Who Downloaded The New Album!

There's nothing wrong with downloading the album, as long as you, 1-keep it to yourself, especially away from file sharing programs like kazaa where lots of people will get it free, and 2-BUY THE FUCKING THING WHEN ITS RELEASED!:)

You don't realise how hypocritical this is, do you? If you think no one should share it with others, then you should be against downloading so people stop sharing. Get real.

Which is why I would be very upset if someone were to, say, quickly send me a private about where one could download the album. If that happened, I, I ...... I don't know WHAT I'd do!

Yea thats it, come on!! hate daddy, hate daddy!

Thanks for the heads up At The Gates..... This is the first inline site I have EVER found with respectable pricing, though I doubt the Americans see it that way....

You STILL need access to a credit card though...... Luckily I managed to scrounge access to one half a week ago

You bet your ass we Americans see it that way. The best prices AND free shipping??? How can you beat that!??? Plus, they're the fastest!!!

We modem-users must be the artists all-time favorites because we can't download their new albums. Or at least, we COULD, but at least I don't have the time to spend 9 hours getting the track :/

No, I got it from a friend, who will buy it. I won't put it up on Kazaa for a bunch of people who WON'T buy it to download. Of course there's no way to ensure that everyone who downloads the album buys it, but I personally can make sure no one gets a freebie.

To all the evil people who were sending me messages while I was away from the computer yesterday and forgot to put up an away message, I am online now so you better not bother me with your begging for the opeth MP3s! I may have a cable internet connection but that is no exuse! You all better forget you ever knew my IM name is Tornado O Souls

Hey Poison, thanks for the advise on how to keep those nasty mp3's away. That was some kickass advice and I'm enjoying it very much. Good thing I have it to help me untill the album is released.

Masters of subtlety?? Ohhhh yeahhh.

Birgith, just do what I do. Queue up an album, and leave your computer on all night.

Yeah, but it will cost.. I think at least. Telia is so damn expensive! And I fear that my modem will disconnect itself after a while :/

i read the post, but id like to say that i also cannot stand people who bitch about downloading songs. whoever opposes that takes it up the brown eye, no doubt. relax and enjoy the modern world of computers and mp3's...were all gonna buy the damn cd anyways...bastards

I have to agree. All you guys that are getting the album early are bastards. Its like opening christmas presents early and what makes it worse is that you guys are fucking over Opeth. These guys are uderground so when we by their records, we put food on their table which I think is only fair becaus BWP was fucking awesome. And files aren't shared they are copied. If I share my sandwhich, I lose part of the sandwich. If I share my car, I don't have my car for a day. You guys are copying files. Don't try to use positive words to describe negative things.

Metalheadmarc it is not larceny until there is a law against the practice of peer to peer copying of files- as of yet no legislature has drafted such a law, nor will they ever sign such a law that doest have some sort of moratorium on files already downloaded. This is a hot Intellectual Property topic in the US today, I was going to take a class on it in law school- but my schedule was filled up- but a buddy of mine who has taken the clas, believes that either the federal gov. or state gov. in the next year will give in to the growing lobby of the entertainment industry, and pass such a law. yet, even if such a law is passed people will get around it, and it would be almost impossible to enforce- its not as if the police can easily get a warrant or ascertain probable cause based on suspected file larceny. Nor, will there be any agency given powers to stop such piracy.

If it is not against the law i really dont give a fuck- and dont cram your moral argument down my throat- because it is absolutely irrelevant.
