mmmmmmm well i just back from the weekend drive fest,
2 nights, two anthrax gigs.....too too cool...............

first up ............. the setlist.......

um....this is definitely all the songs they played, but
after 'in my world' i am not sure what order they
came in, i've got the finsh right but the middle section
is a little ropey in order......too....many....beers.:)

man, both nights were absolutely awesome....the boys
are playing as fierce as ever, they looked like
they were having a blast up there, to those doubting whether anthrax could play the new stuff live, they blasted out 'black dahlia' and 'nobody knows anything' sooooooo hard, charlie is seriously on form right now, he kicks ass...the old stuff too sounded suuuperb, 'metal thrashing mad' is fuckin outstanding and twas wicked to have 'gung ho' and 'in my world' in there too (fueled too sounds suuperb right now, they have chunked it up bigtime) ..the crowds at both shows have been hyped up too, the noise in bristol was soooo loud !!! and the bradford crowd gave it some too......

but yeah....they are playing seriously well right now, defo two
of the best gigs i have ever been too, just cool venues, got to be right in the thick of things at the front for both, and the energy in both places was just intense.....and i even got too shout along to antisocial on mic, in bradford too...oh and in bristol i caught an pentathrax plectrum too with 'satan' on the back.....badass

i am gonna have to try and sell my legs or summink to get to the wolverhampton gig on tuesday...friday for the london show seems too far away right now :)

gotta say not a bad song in there, a few missing but fuck man 19 songs, at least from every single album.....no grumbling from me at all, anthrax rule all. \m/ \m/

Can you please tell us - what sort of venues are these places.... big turn-outs ?
 
um, not toally sure on capacity, not big tho, bout 1000 maybe a bit more..... but both bradford and bristol were rammed in and the crowd gave it their all, like i say superb atmosphere at both, from crowd and band........on a selfish note i loved seeing em in venues that size getting that close to anthrax playing their nuts off , way intimate and fuckin cool ........

they are playing the astoria on friday and thats about 2,500, so thats gonna kick ass......

The Barra's as Scott said was sold out which is pretty cool cause the original venue sold out (the garage) got moved to a bigger venue and the fucker sold out :rock:. The best thing about this is that the exact same thing happened in reverse on the Stomp tour, originaly the Barras then got moved to the garage...This means what? The Thrax are back.


P.S. The barra's holds about 2000...

More interesting facts. We've Come For You All outsold Volume 8's total sales in one week. Now that is fact and i was told this by Anthrax vocalist John Bush when interviewing them last week at the Barrowlands.
Does anyone else find it strange that Anthrax are not considered a "viable" band for the Download festival?
With rapidly increasing sales, an ever expanding young fan base and the ability to still sell out the Barrowlands 21 years in, i don't think that the phrase "not viable" should be used in connection with this band.

but jesus two amazing amzing shows, among the best i have seen em play, can't wait tillthe london show, don't worry those going i am sure n#body knows anything and in my world will stay they got HUGE responses!!!!! in my world ruled, totally ruled

at the astoria its gonna rule, i saw em on the volume 8 tour there, and they tore the place apart, 5 years on i bet they can't wait to finish the job :)

Totally agree isent it up to kerrang for who does download cause i like the way they ask him to do a tour diary but won't let them do the festival fucking cunts :( bet the only reason why they asked him to do it cause everyone loves it on metal sludge and well who takes kerrang serisouly?!?!

i went to an anthrax listening night about 5 months ago, a preview of the album .....and these two fucks from kerrang were there, all they did all nigth was stuff their fat faces on the free buffet there and talked to themselves the whole time !!!! they ignored every song, and look more concerd with each other than the new album or the fact that anthrax were in the same room chatting about the new album....i was sitting myself with excitment, those two cunts just tried there best to look nonchalent and above it al.....in the next issue there was a breif line about it, saying that they went to the night and they saw "members of anthrax air drumming to their own cd, foolish men." thats all they could fuckin say about it !!!!!

i hate that mag so much, esp since these days i know its written by clueless morons awho couldn't give a fuck about the music, just massgin their own short assed fat little egos. pure and utter dicks , hope i never see them at a gig agan or their faces are coming off

rant over :) ....umble grumble...fuckin krrap...

That information is slightly off young man. Bradford Rio's did indeed sell out on Saturday night but it's around 950 capacity, with all the bands and crew and staff there will have been about a 1000 people there. Dunno where you got 2500 from, heheh?

It was soooooooooooooooooooo cool to play a gig with my hero's, I'll never forget Saturday, ever. The band and crew were all cool, the crowd were cool (even when we played) and the whole flipping THING WAS BRILLIANT!
