Bring back good Metallica - A MUST READ!

metallica is still under control of the mainstream music market, and they can't just make a good ole thrash album anymore, unless a miracle happens. That's what selling out does.

But I can always hope that they someday play metal again.

exactly, the only bright spot on that cd for me. I was kinda bored by the rest of the songs and the production just kills it for me. MMM no bass anywhere and a drum sound that is the second worst of their albums behind St anger. I dont think their will ever be a worse drum sound than St anger. Hell even black metal drums on four track recordings sound better. In fact all black metal four track recordings sound better. Bad drums, songs that run together , no bass and only Dyers eve to save it. Kill em all to master of puppets and thats it. Ill listen to One when it comes on the radio because its either that or Linkin Park or Britney spears. Yes I have to listen to the radio because I dont have a cd player, fuck you.

i don't know man... I think Justice is by far their best album, but again i'm not going to try and convince you of that. I totally agree that it was a terrible production, but I still think that the writing was amazing. I still use the Justice album as the base of all my music. It has always been. Been listening to it since I was 4 or 5.

ANYWAYS since I babbled on again, i'm done.

To tell you the truth , I use to feel the exact same way as you then one day I picked up Colony by Inflames , and hatebreeder by COB. I almost immediately stopped listening to metallica all together, it instantly stopped appealing to me. Now that ive gotten Years of Decay by OVerkill and Spreading the disease by Anthrax and Bonded by Blood by exodus I realized how much Im really not impressed by metallica. I will still and always listen to MASTER of PUPPETS and earlier but not with the same passion as when I first heard it. FOr me the moment I bought COlony, Hatebreeder , and Burnt offerings by Iced earth i gave up on metallica. Its actually kinda sad to me but was def. a defining moment in my musical evolution. Im sure we all have our stories though. That sophmore year of highschool was changing year.

metallica are (were rather) one of many bands that were good, but better as a doorway (or a path) to more extreme music. Slayer are like that too.
