There's no other Maiden singer for me but Bruce. As far as Blaze is concerned, I don't have a lot of respect for him as a person. He has a BIG chip on his shoulder for American bands and that's just bad business all the way around. My friends, a local band, played the Bang Your Head festival in Germany back in June '04 and Blaze was there. Long story short, he started talking shit about Americans and the whole Bush thing and got into my friend's face with it. My friend tried to disfuse the incident, Blaze didn't like, tried to deck my friend, missed and then got clocked. Blaze was down for the count and on his ass. I know my friend very well. He isn't the type of person that is going to get into a confrontation with someone that is just going off like Blaze was, but on the other hand, he will defend himself. I have a lot of respect for my friend and he was highly offended by Blaze that day. It should of been about the music.

you talking about Sean Peck and Cage? That whole incident was stupid, I cant remember exactly what happened from all the reports and shit but I gotta say i think Peck took it way outta context, and bear in mind Blaze is in his 40s, how old is Peck, I think Blaze is past the age now of wanting to fight people. I think the line was somethin glike "kill and destroy, george bush" or something to that degree which is ambigious in itself, I lost a lor of respect for Peck that day.


And anyway you say BB has a chip on his soldier about American bands, I think he has a right to, his american distributors and promotors are absolutely fucking awful, he hasnt been able to play in America for a couple of years because the promotors arent doing their jobs, its bad enough in England, the situation is only made worse by the fact that the music he makes is infinitely better than most Americn "rock" acts today

Yes as you've probably gathered i'm a huge blaze fan and have a lot of respect for the guy, and yes believe it or not I like him better than Mr Dickinson. X Factor happens to be my favourite album and anyone who says Blaze cant sing is a complete retard!

Anyway rant over, I remember its narrowminded fucks like some poeple here that keep me away from Maiden forums!

They are all good singers. Bruce Dickinson is Iron Maiden. They would have never brought Bruce back and kept Blaze or Paul. You have to give cedit to Paul for the first two albums and Blaze for keeping Maiden going when Bruce left.

I came to know and love Iron Maiden when Bruce was the singer, so he is Numero Uno for me all the way. But I can't say it was love at first listen--I immediately connected with the music but I had never heard a metal singer at that time who used so much vibrato--Bruce was too operatic for my taste initially (I was full-blown into early Def Lep at the time). But I got over that after a few listens and quickly grew to absolutely love his distinctive sound. But of course I respect Paul's contribution and legacy. I give credit to Blaze, too, because he had some truly impossible shoes to fill, in my view. And I'm not familiar with his material outside of Maiden.
