I'd assume practicing Asartu like the Vikings did involves a lot of things that are really fucking illegal. Plus, it takes a lot of effort. I prefer to look at everything from the perspective of someone who might use it in a story...it saves me a lot of work in real life.

Well, from what I've read those who currently practice Asatru, don't do anything extreme, all animal sacrifices have been replaced with the offer of beer or mead if I'm not mistaken... at least that's what they claim. If you wanna do something extreme though, more power to you, like those kids a few years back that brought some girl up to a cave and sacrificed her to Satan, hey why not.

I would have to agree with Pyrus on this one, its something that the modern day world isn't going to look highly on, and you might find yourself committed and labeled insane by the mundane society we have today.
