Vocals are a bit too high and wet for my taste though

btw is the bass duped, with the sansamp on the highs and clean on the lows? or is it all one sansamp track? Can't judge the bottom end that well right now, on ipod headphones

yeah, band wanted the vox louder and louder...this is even not loud enough for them, but it was as far as I was willing to go.
If I remember correctly I used two tracks...one pure sansamp and one HP/LP sansamp track for the mids (more distorted)

a shame the vocal thing, the mix is really perfect on everything else IMO

Interesting thing for the bass, hadn't heard that one before, and it definitely works. Makes sense though, in the tremolo riff the bass is heard slightly overdriven but not actually distorted, when on the heavier parts you can really feel the distorsion beneath the guitars. Great job!

Great mix Lasse!! Did you use the new KK Marshall? TS or Metal Zone for the guitars? The bass kicks ass man!! Did you doubletrack the bass with different sansamp settings so that the HP-LP one is distorted or did you use the same track but distort the HP-LP one later? If so,what do you use for distorting the mids? Do you eq and compress each track separately or both in a group channel?

marshall cab recto amp, boosted with MZ.
BAss is just one track, duplicated and HP/LP'd. I don't really know anymore what I used for distortion, I don't have a goto effekt there, it's different for every project, whatever is closest.
I Compress them seperately and then send them to a buss with more compression and limiting on them
