Brutal/Slam Death Metal

That's a pretty good list. Septycal Gorge's first album Growing Seeds of Decay is also awesome as is Human Rejection's first album Torture of Decimation. Brutal death metal is a good genre to like because most of it is high quality.

As for some US bands that play shows I'd recommend Pathology, Insidious Decrepancy, and Malignancy.

I don't know much about slam death, but I do know that I attempted to resist Death Metal for two years and after a year of having a non metal bass player and non-metal drummer in my metal band, having my metal songs butchered, and finding myself increasingly attracted to the sound generated by various death metal bands, I disbanded that band, gave in to the darkness and embraced death metal. Now I must learn more about this.. slam death....

I hate being in bands where everyone has a different music style, hard to be creative when your forced to compromise. search through the thread, you'll find a lot of bands to check out.

Some good bands to check out are Devourment, Saprogenic, Abominable Putridity, Pencil lead Syringe, Guttural engorgement, and Drowning in Phemaldehyde.

Dont know if you guys heard, but this band is definitely one to check out, Haven't heard about it in this thread
