God he just about summed it up for me, i'm so sick of getting bullshit because i listen to Dimmu and Cradle. Why would i stop listening to them if they sound good to me? not a big fan of Burzum/Aske but love Hvis Lyset Tar Oss, and there's some good stuff on Det Som Engang Var too. I also like Filosofem a lot, even the 30 min ambient track. the last two albums were awful; keyboard tones aside, the music wasn't even that compelling.
also in that vein, Leviathan, Crebain, Nachtmystium and Draugar. a lot of BM fans say Xasthur too but it mostly bores me.
